Meeting commenced at 7 PM. Attendance was 40. Heather read the March minutes. Leslie Bush moved to accept, seconded by Jonelle and accepted unanimously. 


Caitlin gave the Treasurer's report and discussed current renewals and the option of adding a Paypal button to the website. She floated the idea of increasing membership dues slightly to cover the cost of online payment fees. Caroline moved to accept the report, seconded by Imogene Mitcham. 


Nick announced that a meeting space had been procured at Casa Chapala on Burnet and 183. We will begin meeting there in-person on May 17. Nick proposed having copies of the budget at the May meeting for members to look at and vote on the budget.


Caitlyn inquired about voting on the membership button and Nick said it would be discussed at the next board meeting.


Presentation commenced at 7:11 PM. Speakers were Dr. Mary Jo Galindo and Mr. Jimmy Arterberry presented about the recently completed TxDOT Tribal History Project that composed histories for eleven tribes using sources the recommended, and telling the story of their Tribe’s time in Texas. Accomplished for planning purposes, the project had a spatial and temporal aspect to be incorporated into the cultural history section of CRM reports, which was by request from the Tribes. Mary Jo presented and discussed the project. Jimmy provided commentary and answered questions after the presentations.

Nick said that Robin Matthews had agreed to take on the Treasurer position for the 2023 Annual Meeting. Information about the new meeting spot is forthcoming and it may be possible to livestream future meetings from there.
