The meeting started at 7:04 PM.

The number in attendance was 20.

Heather read the August minutes and the August board meeting minutes and they were accepted by all.

Our current checking account balance is $11, 224.87. There is $115 in petty cash. and $5,231 in the CD. Nick read the treasurer's report as Caitlin was not present. The Treasurer's report was accepted by all.

Ken told us about a scam involving grants given to members of different organizations and warned us to stay away from it. 

Nick passed around a sign up sheet for the Moore-Hancock Dig next month. He also mentioned that the dig will now be two days long with Friday ,Oct. 18 added. Dr. Lehman from ACC may also bring his students in the afternoon with students from Connally High School coming in the morning to rotate through 4 different stations to experience an archaeology dig. The Saturday dig times will be from 11-4. 

Tonight's speaker was  Melanie Johnson speaking about “A Tale of Two Cistterns: The Schrimpf's Alley Site (41HR1276) Harris County, Houston District.”
